Meet the 2019 National Vision Scholarship Recipients
We are excited and honored to introduce the eight high school seniors who were selected for the 2019 National Vision College Scholarship Program! These students received $2,500 each, renewable for up to three years for a total scholarship of $10,000 towards their upcoming college education. Each of the recipients is currently enrolled in a full‑time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States and will pursue a bachelor’s degree.
Let’s get to know these students a little better!
Annaca Sutton
Annaca Sutton is daughter of Melissa Sutton, Store Manager at the Vision Center brought to you by Walmart in Goldsboro, NC. She is attending George Washington University in Washington, DC, and will be majoring in political science.
Michael Nguyen
Michael Nguyen is the son of Dr. Thach Nguyen, Doctor of Optometry at the Vision Center brought to you by Walmart in Lawrenceville, GA. He is attending Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, and will be majoring in pre-med.
Jainee Silva
Jainee Silva is the daughter of Bonnie Silva, Assistant Manager at the Vision Center brought to you by Walmart in Santa Maria, CA. She is attending the University of California: Irvine in Irvine, CA, and will be majoring in biological sciences.
Katelynn Moore
Katelynn Moore is the daughter of Jodie Sinclair, a Sales Associate at the America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses store in Brandon, FL. She is attending the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL, and will be majoring in nursing.
Christian Clark
Christian Clark is the daughter of Tiffany Smith, a Contact Lens Manager at the America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses store in Bedford Park, IL. She is attending Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, LA, and will be majoring in pre-medicine.
Hannah Lillie
Hannah Lillie is the daughter of Dr. Julie Lillie, Doctor of Optometry at the Eyeglass World store in Erie, PA. She is attending Gannon University in Erie, PA, and will be majoring in optometry.
Tyler Johnson
Tyler Johnson is the son of Diane Johnson, Store Manager at the Eyeglass World store in Orange Park, FL. He is attending the University of Florida in Orange Park, FL, and will be majoring in engineering.
Maria Neale
Maria Neale is the daughter of Toni Neale, a Sales Associate at the America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses store in Kansas City, MO. She is attending Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS, and will be majoring in graphic design.
At National Vision, we enjoy the opportunity to support the academic achievements of our Associate’s children and would like to congratulate all eight scholarship winners! We wish each of them great success throughout their college journey and future career!
