We Stuffed The Bus!

Associates Loading the BGCA VanOn August 29, 2018, metro Atlanta area Associates at the Retail Support Center, the Distribution Center and the Lawrenceville Lab participated in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) Stuff the Bus Challenge!

As part of BGCA’s Back2School™ campaign, the ‘Stuff the Bus’ challenge encourages corporate partners to donate school supplies for the kids who need them most.

And we did just that!

Associates at the three locations rallied together to purchase new school supplies and backpacks.  They filled the BGCA van to the brim and then had to fill two more personal vehicles!

The supplies were then taken to the A. Worley Brown Boys & Girls Club in Norcross, Georgia so that the kids there will have all the tools they need for a successful school year.

As part of the partnership with BGCA, we provide free vision screenings, access to free comprehensive eye exams, and if needed, glasses for Club members through our participating America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses locations.

Because clear vision is also crucial for academic success, America’s Best Associates from three local stores held a vision screening event that same afternoon at the A. Worley Brown Boys & Girls Club.

Almost 100 Club kids were screened and those who need comprehensive eye exams, received a referral to a local America’s Best store.

Associates Were Thrilled to Participate

From the moment we announced that we would be participating in the Stuff the Bus Challenge, Associates were excited to help kids in their community.

Michael Costello, Senior Marketing Specialist for America’s Best said:

“It was a great to see Retail Support Center Associates working alongside our team from the stores on such an important company initiative.  Being able to provide so many screenings while also helping get these kids ready for the school year with the school supply drive made for a perfect partnership event.”

Quinn Tant, who helped organize the event, said:

“The generosity and giving spirit of our associates and vendors was overwhelming.  We know that the A. Worley Brown Boys and Girls Club will put all the supplies to good use.”

May the 2018-2019 school year be a success for all Club kids!
