At National Vision, we are committed to helping our associates improve their health. Our goal is to create a culture where everyone chooses to live a healthier lifestyle, rather than being forced to do so.
Because we believe that everyone deserves to see their best to live their best, we offer free eye exams to all of our associates. But we know that’s not enough. In addition to providing quality eye care, we also offer the following wellness benefits:
Fitness Classes
We offer a variety of fitness classes at our Retail Support Center. From circuit training to yoga, associates are encouraged to sign-up for 6 week-long classes held in the Thrive Fitness Center – a state-of-the-art fitness center equipped with cardio and strength-training machines, a functional trainer, free weights and much more.
Wellness Incentive Program
For associates enrolled in one of our medical plans, we offer a Wellness Incentive Program that reduces the cost of contribution rates. This program has two different levels to choose from and includes wellness activities such as a Metabolic Screening, a Health Risk Assessment and Healthy Lifestyle Coaching.
Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk & Fitness Program
Every year we participate in the KP Run/Walk which is designed to promote health, wellness and fitness among the employees of metro Atlanta companies. We have participated in this program for 23 years!
Get Active Quarterly Challenge
This is an online social network and health challenge program for associates and their spouses where they have the opportunity to earn a credit towards their deductible. Challenges such as “Ready, Set, Go!” allow associates to join a team and compete to see who can log the most minutes of exercise, walk the most steps and lose the most weight.
Nature’s Garden Express
We offer a local grocery delivery service where associates can order organic fruits and vegetables and have it delivered to their home or work. There is no sign–up fee and no commitment required. Associates get the convenience of going to a local farmers market, but it’s delivered to their desk!
Beginning Right Maternity Program
Available to associates and spouses who are covered under our medical plan, this program offers information for a healthier pregnancy, special help for at-risk pregnancies and credit towards hospital admission co-pays.
That’s not all!
We also hold blood drives, contract a Care-a-Van to perform mammograms, and offer yearly flu shots and health fairs. Our Retail Support Center has fresh food options in The Midway Market and a Quiet Room for associates to refocus or meditate at work.
