Why Our Associates Love NVI
In honor of Valentine’s Day we asked some of our associates why they love working at National Vision. We heard phrases like, “everyone works together,” “giving back,” and “looking forward to each day” – just some of the things we are all about at NVI.
We’d like you to meet six of our valuable associates and hear what they have to say!
Marlon Spencer works as a shipping clerk at our Distribution Center in Duluth, Georgia and has been with NVI for two years. Marlon is part of the team that is responsible for packing up all products, supplies, and accessories needed at our stores and shipping them out. When asked why he loves working for National Vision he said:
“I love working at NVI because of the people I work with. Everyone works together to get the job done. I also enjoy the benefits the company provides and I like the time off from work that I get to spend with my family. The management always works with me when I have a problem.”
Kristen Reynolds works at the Retail Support Center in Duluth, Georgia. She started with the company in March of 2016 and is our Manager of Philanthropic Programs. In this role, Kristen guides NVI’s philanthropic efforts to create and grow a sustainable low-cost eyewear and optical services model both nationally and internationally.
Kristen says, “I love NVI because they truly believe in giving back to people who need a little help to achieve a quality of life through the ability to see.”
Elizabeth Guzman is a Licenced Florida Optician and the General Manager of our America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses store in Altamonte Springs, Florida. She has been with the company for three years now and is responsible for managing all facets of the retail store operation, which includes the daily retail operations, personnel management, inventory controls, and managing her store’s budget while ensuring our customers have the best experience possible. Elizabeth is also a proud employee who is always sharing company news and accomplishments with her staff and friends!
When asked why she loves National Vision, Elizabeth says: “I love NVI because they hear my ideas and let me be creative!”
Shajan Thomas is the Paid Search Specialist in the Digital Marketing Department at the Retail Support Center in Duluth, Georgia. He started with the company in December 2014. In this role, Shajan manages all digital paid initiatives for America’s Best and Eyeglass World. Some of these initiatives include pay per click campaigns thru search engines and banner, display and social ads.
Shajan says, “I love NVI because no day is ever the same. Each day brings a new challenge and with that, new solutions. It keeps you focused and looking forward to each day.”
Marckus Bishop and Avery Melendez are sales associates at our America’s Best store in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Sales associates are directly responsible for providing customers with exceptional service and driving sales to meet company goals and objectives.
Marckus and Avery say: “We love working for NVI because every day is a HOOT.”
