2016 National Vision Vendor Conference

Welcome Sign at Vendor ConferenceThe annual Vendor Conference and charity golf tournament was held October 10th and 11th at Chateau Elan in Braselton, GA.

All proceeds from the event – totaling more than $320,000 this year – benefit our foundation, 20/20 Quest Inc.,  which supports organizations helping people in need of vision care and services around the world with monetary and product donations.

2016 marks the 21st year that NVI has hosted industry partners to raise funds for our domestic and international philanthropic efforts.

People dancing at the Vendor ConferenceThe annual event kicked-off with a welcome reception and dinner on the evening of October 10th. The Optics, our home band, entertained our guests with lively music while the staff at Chateau Elan ensured that our vendors dined in fashion.

Day two of the conference began with the Vendor Meeting where we announced the winners of the 2016 National Vision Vendor Awards.

In the afternoon, vendors and NVI executives met on the golf course for a tournament. The top teams were presented with awards during the Golfer Reception that evening. Our guests also participated in a raffle which raised over $11,000 for 20/20 Quest.

Presented to the partner that best demonstrates overall commitment to partnership by consistently exceeding partnership goals and advancing the business.

  • Business Management – Century Displays

Presented to a partner that provides excellence in overall administration and management of the business aspects of the Company.

  • Best New Product – Air Wear Colors by Essilor

Presented in recognition of a new optical product/promotional idea that adds the greatest value to NVI through innovation and creativity.

  • Most Innovative Partner Protiviti

Presented in recognition of creativity and ingenuity in overall approach to partnership.

  • Account Manager of the Year Nicole Rund of Harte Hanks

Presented to an account manager that provides excellence in service and truly demonstrates a spirit of partnership.

Vendors who won the 2016 Vendors Awards

When asked about the Vendor Awards, NVI CEO Reade Fahs said,

“We are proud to honor this group of outstanding vendors whose valued partnership this year has helped us better serve our patients and customers.”

He added,

“Most importantly, each of this year’s winners have ultimately helped us impact more lives as we worked together to make quality eye care and eyewear more affordable and accessible to all Americans. We particularly want to recognize The Richards Group as Vendor of the Year. Their conception and development of the ‘Owl Campaign’ has played a key role in elevating the America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses brand. ”

Jessica Altamirano is a proud Veteran spouse who has worked for NVI since 2014. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from George Mason University. Jessica is passionate about corporate-nonprofit partnerships, philanthropic efforts in developing countries, Veteran recruitment, and creating a culture of health and wellness in the workplace.
